B. The evaporator is dry (oil carryover is less than 15%), and the temperature is in
degrees Celsius.
C. Outlet temperature and the type of compressor

3If both mineral and synthetic lubricants are recommended, synthetic lubricants will typically provide better equipment protection than mineral oils, especially at high and low operating temperatures, compressor efficiency, and oil life.

LUBRICANT GUIDE

Shield RCO NTH is a high-quality, fully virgin lubricant. It is blended from highly refined naphthenic base oil and specially selected additives that offers excellent chemical stability, corrosion protection, low pour points and extended service life. It is recommended for all refrigeration systems using ammonia (NH 3 ) or HCFC refrigerants. It is also suitable for applications with high evaporation and condensation temperatures such as air-conditioning applications. This lubricant is applicable for use in reciprocating piston, rotary screw and centrifugal compressors at its specific evaporator operating temperatures.
